Previous Next Advertisement House endorses Appropriation Bill for next fiscal

The Parliament on Saturday endorsed the Appropriation Bill which allocates shares of the budget to various ministries and other bodies to spend in the next fiscal year. The Bill was endorsed by majority votes after Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel tabled a proposal for the same. The government on May 28 had presented the budget announcement at the Parliament. Paudel also tabled a proposal to begin discussions on the Finance Bill, also a part of the budget, today itself. The general discussions on the Bill had immediately begun.
Before concluding discussions on the Appropriation Bill, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and other ministers had responded to lawmakers’ concerns and queries on budget allocation to their respective ministries. The Prime Minister, as the head of the government, had also answered questions on budget allocated to the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, the National Planning Commission, the Office of the President and the Office of the Vice-President
