The Nepali Congress sister wing–the Nepal Students Union (NSU)–has hit a gridlock following its inauguration on August 7.The Directive Committee formed by the NC to conclude the GC had dealt with the representatives of the disputed districts on Tuesday to continue the convention; but the name list of the representatives has not been made public yet.The name list of representatives of all the districts will be submitted to the Election Committee today, and then the election process will move ahead,” said NC leader and Directive Committee Coordinator Prakash Sharan Mahat. The convention, which was scheduled to end on Tuesday, has been stretched due to disputes over names of representatives. The students’ crowd is gradually thinning with many already looking to return to their districts. The Committee, however, is optimistic of receiving the name list today and starting the preparation for election programme from tomorrow.Once the name list was received, the candidates would make their registration followed by claims and objections on candidature and nomination, Committee Coordinator Bharat Prasad Kharel said.
